The lute is very esthetic unstruments with a lot of decorations, and fine visual woods, and sometimes with a lot of
inlays. This optical parts make a lot of work and high costs. So I decided to offer simpler versions of some
renaiccance lutes. In this model some decorative details had been made simpler, as simple as it is possible and
acceptable to reduce the work and therefore the price without reducing the sound quality too much.
This lute will have the following features:
- Soundboard made out of european spruce, having the original design for the rose, but without an inlay
around the edge
- Mould with 11 ribs made out of simple maple without spacers

- The neck is made out of lime or poplar wood which is then veneered with cherry-, walnut- or plumwood
- The fingerboard is made out of plumwood with a rosewood boarder
- The string length is 62 cm
- The pegbox is made out of cherry- or walnut wood
- For the pegs I use plum wood, a very good wood for this purpose or boxwood
- The mould is covered with oil and wax which gives a sufficant protection
